Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
These terms apply to the China MedPass website, the China MedPass app for iOS and Android, and the coordination services we provide. By creating an account, using the app or engaging our services, you agree to them.
1. Our Role
China MedPass is a medical coordination and facilitation service for international patients seeking care at hospitals in China. We are not a medical provider. We do not diagnose, treat, or advise on medical conditions. All clinical decisions are made by the licensed physicians and hospitals who treat you.
2. Service Scope
Depending on what you choose, our service can include: case assessment and hospital and specialist matching, appointment booking, video consultations with live interpretation, bilingual escort during hospital visits, translation of medical reports, and help with travel logistics. The exact services for your case are set out in the quote you accept.
3. Your Account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we send to it, or with a password if you choose to set one in your profile. Keep access to your email and your password secure — anyone who can read your email or knows your password can sign in as you. You must be 18 or older to hold an account; a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account for a younger patient. You agree that the information you give us about yourself and your health is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
4. Not for Emergencies
The app, chat and email are not monitored around the clock and must never be used for a medical emergency. In an emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department.
5. Messages and Video Consultations
You can reach your coordinator through the in-app chat, email, or other channels such as WhatsApp. We keep a record of these conversations as part of your case. We answer during our working hours (China Standard Time).
Video consultations may use AI-assisted real-time interpretation, captions and summaries. Machine interpretation can contain errors; confirm anything important — diagnoses, medication, doses, dates — with your coordinator or doctor. The audio of video consultations is recorded to keep an accurate record of what was said; the call screen shows this. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Files You Share
You may upload medical reports, images, passport pages and other documents. Only share files you have the right to share. We use them to coordinate your care as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Fees and Payment
Our coordination fee is quoted per case and confirmed before you commit. Hospital fees (registration, imaging, consultations, treatments) are separate and paid to the hospital. When we send you a payment link, the payment is handled by the payment provider named on that page. Refund terms are those stated in your quote.
8. No Medical Guarantee
China MedPass does not guarantee any medical outcome, waiting time or hospital decision. Clinical results depend on your condition and the treating physicians. We guarantee only the quality of our coordination service.
9. Limitation of Liability
China MedPass's liability is limited to the coordination fee you paid for the case concerned. We are not liable for clinical outcomes, hospital or physician decisions, or events outside our direct service scope.
10. Closing Your Account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete my account) or by emailing us. We may suspend an account that is misused. What happens to your data when an account is closed is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; if a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which China MedPass is registered. Disputes will be resolved by negotiation in good faith before any formal proceedings.
